I am interested in the interval between presence and disappearance: the moment when something is still here, but already beginning to leave.

Fault Lines
Fault Line explores the unstable space between photography as refuge and photography as weapon. Made across Tokyo at night, the work emerges from my experience of hearing loss and the distance it creates within public space—physically present, but only partly inside its acoustic life.
Through blurred movement, reflections, plastic curtains and illuminated glass, figures appear protected from complete visibility yet remain held within the frame. Layered photographs, translucent vellum and light-box experiments bring different moments and emotional states onto the same surface.
The project does not attempt to resolve whether looking is an act of care or possession. Instead, it keeps that uncertainty visible, asking how photography can offer attention while still carrying the possibility of claim.
